Introduction

The "Belt & Road Initiative" and the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Bay Area" are two national development strategies of China. As a key node in both, Hong Kong can benefit from new impetus and opportunities for economic growth.

Chinese entrepreneurs worldwide have played an important role not only in deepening trade ties between Mainland China and the world, but also in facilitating cooperation across the region. Targeting Chinese entrepreneurs from Mainland China and overseas who are keen to seize opportunities from the "Belt & Road" and the "Bay Area", the Chinese General Chamber of Commerce (CGCC) will hold the "CGCC World Chinese Entrepreneurs Summit" in Hong Kong in August 2018, with the objective of promoting Hong Kong's strengths in professional services and other industries, as well as providing a platform for Hong Kong's Industrial, Commercial and professional services sectors to enhance exchanges with Chinese entrepreneurs around the world. Chinese entrepreneurs from all over the world are welcomed to join government officials, business leaders, experts and academics at the Summit to explore exciting opportunities under the "Belt & Road Initiative" and the "Bay Area" development.

The Summit is organised by CGCC and the supporting organisations include the Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR), the Liaison Office of the Central People's Government in the HKSAR and the Office of the Commissioner of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in the HKSAR (TBC). Fully supported by industrial and commercial organisations from Mainland China as well as Chinese entrepreneurs organisations worldwide in making this Summit a success.
